01: A mother’s heart

Ms. Suong, a veteran employee, has been with Clean House for nearly 8 years at Parkson Hung Vuong. Let’s listen to her talk about her first days working at Clean House. She said: “In 2016, I came here from Phu Yen and started applying for a cleaning job at Clean House. At that time, I came here alone to work to raise 3 children.” As a single mother, she pours all her love into her children, especially her daughter who is suffering from a brain tumor. At that time, she had to borrow money to treat her child’s illness. Many days she goes to work feeling insecure about her child’s health and always wonders what her child’s tomorrow will be like. The obsession with money and time weighs more heavily on Ms. Suong’s shoulders every day. She tries to work many jobs to manage many things. Sometimes she is too tired and wants to give up, but if she gives up, how will her children live?

During the first 3 consecutive years, there were days when she worked from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m., then went to the basement of the apartment to sleep and then get up in the morning to go to work again. There are times at work when she receives negative attitudes or disrespectful looks from others. Despite difficulties, she still maintains a positive attitude and is steadfast in the value of the industrial cleaning profession. At the same time, she also believes that as long as she tries hard, God will not disappoint people. After all of Ms. Suong’s efforts in work and life, her daughter’s health has improved. The old mother now has a more peaceful life, free from the worries and pressures of life that have weighed on her in recent years.

Ms. Suong conveyed: “For those in the profession who are in difficult circumstances, please think of your children. When children see their parents struggling like that, they will become more mature people. Always be proud of our industrial cleaning profession because it is the money we earn from our efforts.”
