Post-Construction Cleaning: Effective Ways to Treat Stains
07/12/2022
After the construction of houses and buildings, post-construction cleaning is the final step to complete the project and hand it over to the customer. Therefore, cleaning and returning a fresh aesthetic to the house is extremely important.
A lot of stains from cement or paint are often a concern for many people. Below, Nha Sach tells you about extremely simple and effective ways to treat stains. Let’s see!
1.How to treat cement stains
During construction, cement stains can adhere tightly to the floor, wall or glass… causing loss of aesthetics. Therefore, post-construction cleaning needs to handle the above stains very skillfully and carefully so as not to harm the above surfaces.
Removing cement stains requires preparing a number of items such as: Floor razor, baking soda (or vinegar), clean water, cleaning cloth, rubber gloves, mask, specialized cement cleaning chemical H+T01 or cleaning mixture, brush with bristles to apply chemicals…
How to treat cement stains with baking soda:
- Step 1: Mix baking soda with water in a 2:1 ratio
- Step 2: Pour a sufficient amount of mixture onto the cement stain. Wait 30-60 minutes for the mixture to take effect.
- Step 3: Use a brush to scrub away stains. Then use a towel with floor cleaner to remove stains.
How to treat cement stains with vinegar:
- Step 1: Mix white vinegar with water and pour the mixture into a spray bottle.
- Step 2: Spray this solution on areas with cement plaque. Wait for the solution to penetrate the cement stain for about 1-2 hours.
- Step 3: Use an old brush or damp cloth to clean those cement plaques.
How to treat cement stains with specialized detergent:
Units in charge of post-construction cleaning will often carry out the following cleaning steps:
- Step 1: Use a knife or iron brush to lightly scrub the cement layer on the tile floor, taking care not to scratch the surface.
- Step 2: Pour specialized chemicals onto the cement patches until it foams. Then use a towel to wipe it. Repeat until the cement layer softens.
- Step 3: Use a towel to wipe off the foam layer and use water to rinse the remaining chemicals and you’re done. Detergents will affect the skin of your hands, so always remember to wear protective gloves during post-construction cleaning with chemicals.
2.How to treat stains from paint
Not only cement stains, but paint stains on the surface are also commonly seen during construction. During post-construction cleaning, these paint stains are usually quite stubborn, so a separate method is needed to clean them. Clean House introduces a few cleaning methods as follows:
Treat paint stains with vinegar:
- Dissolve a mixture of vinegar and warm water. Pour the solution into a handheld sprayer. Absolutely do not pour vinegar directly onto the floor surface, especially wooden floors, because it can cause the floor to erode.
- Using a spray bottle, spray on the paint patches and use a cloth to wipe over and over until the stains are removed. Finally, wipe with clean water to remove the smell of vinegar.
Treat stains from paint with specialized chemicals:
- Step 1: Pour a sufficient amount of specialized chemicals onto the surface of the paint stain, then leave for about 1 minute for the chemicals to act on the stain.
- Step 2: Use the mesh to scrub the paint stains clean. Note that for tile floors with many protrusions or crevices, using a whisk will be more effective. On the contrary, if the surface is flat, it is better to use a carving knife.
- Step 3: Use a cleaning cloth or broom to clean the floor. Repeat until all paint stains are removed.
In addition to the above stain treatment methods, post-construction cleaning still has many items that need to be cleaned as well as different cleaning methods for each item. If you need support, contact Nha Clean immediately for the best advice.
